The Department of Zoology organized world cancer day on 04-02-2024 at Seminar Hall. In this
occasion Dr.N. Ravisankar garu and his Doctors team from GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry
attended.
The message from College Principal Dr. Ramachandra RK emphasizing the importance of good
character, healthy food habits, and the avoidance of harmful habits like drinking, drugs, and smoking
is crucial for preventing diseases such as cancer.
In this programme Dr. N.Ravisankar garu says with students world Cancer Day is observed yearly on
February 4th. It is a global movement aimed at raising cancer awareness, supporting prevention,
identification, and treatment, and motivating individuals and communities. He explained different
types of cancers and treatment process, early diagnosis, available treatment methods.
