Physics

The Department of Physics was established in 1930 under the Madras Province of British India. Post Graduate Course in PHYSICS was introduced with an affiliation of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in 1971. To inculcate Research tinge among students, and faculty, a research facility titled Crystal Growth and Nano Science Research Centre was established in 2009-10 and it is progressing with M.Phil. , Ph.D. degrees from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. At present, 04 B.Sc., Major programs,01 M.Sc (Physics)., and Research Programs such as M.Phil, and Ph.D offered by the Department, in addition to job oriented under graduate program Renewable Energy Management Indeed, as a part of a Dual Degree Program, various Certificate Courses offers by this Department. The department has also established an advanced simulation robotics lab as a knowledge enrichment Hub. The department received the Best Department award in  GCRJY Excellence Awards 2024 from the hands of Dr. Ramachandra RK , Principal
