The department of Physics organized one day field trip to AP Transco 220 KV substation, Bommuru On 26.07.2022. Four lecturers along with 50 students of II B.Sc (MPC) visited the substation.. This substation collects 11KV voltage from different power stations and stepped up to 220KV for transmission of electric power. Sri AV Rama Suresh, Additional Divisional Engineer explained how the electric power is generated, transmitted and distributed in the form of Alternating current.
