About Department:

• One of the oldest department in the state,it started UG Courses in 1891 & PG courses in 1971-72 .
•  Offering 4 UG Courses, 3 PG Courses and 2 Certificate courses.
• It is the biggest department in the state with 28 sanctioned chemistry posts.
• The department is equipped with advanced research facilities.
• The Dept has a Research Centre recognized by Andhra University and  Adi Kavi Nannaya University.
• The department participates in extension activities of the college like Environmental Protection Programmes -Ozone day, World environmental day, National science day etc.,
