Dr. Manjeeri Pande had explained about the provinces of Uranium in India which presently has to be imported from other countries. The country has only Sodium. She explained the present Nuclear sources available and the technology behind their development. Also she explained about how to control nuclear hazards etc. Madam encouraged both ug and pg final year students to apply for entrance exams to enter into BARC as a Scientist and other positions like technical assistant ect. Basically 3 layers of intake are there i.e. through OCES Courses offered at BARC applications of radio frequency and microwave. Also she explained a very interesting topic related to Latest accelerators:Live example through PPT (27 km underground Electron accelerators). Their applications in daily life are used in CT Scan ,CRT television is a simple form of accelerators etc. Explained how electromagnetic fields role the accelerators -Electric field for acceleration and magnetic field for beam control. Explained various R &D projects under BRNS
